During the last decade, many publications
about coulouring
centered drawings, known as Mandalas, have been flourishing.
Personally, I would rather call them '' concentric
drawings'' in order
to avoid any confusion with the spiritual traditions of the
East.
We now know that the graphical use of these
''shapes''
acting on the balance of the brain
may permit, if simple conditions are
respected, to calm a restless
child, to improve the
depressive state of an adult, to overcome difficult moments and to find
a
dynamic forgotten.
I have personally experimented with this
practice since 1985
with many people.
I observed that a drawing or a painting of this nature offers
an opportunity to re-focus and
re-balance.
From these observations arose a collection of albums
offering concentric drawings for colouring for all types of audiences.

since 1990, offered
individual and group trainings
to people wishing to use this tool to refocus.
These teacher trainings have provided the educators, art-therapists,
healers
and group leaders
with essential notions for a trustworthy and reliable use of
this practice in their work.
In this way, a network of
practitioners was created to offer basic and intermediate
trainings
in
France, Belgium, Switzerland and Spain,
allowing a diverse audience to discover
the multiple facets of this type of design.
From January 2012, my pedagogical
instructors will lead the trainings.
